MC
(Master of Ceremonies) is a professional speaker and
party motivator who's sole job is to interact with the crowd at
any given event. Some people spell it Emcee. The
MC carries a wireless microphone to
get people motivated to dance and have a good time, hand
out party favors, perhaps play some games, and of course to make
announcements and introductions particularly at weddings.
